satisfiedHello everybody,
It is my turn to write a "monthly-essay"about my last adventures. I was really happy reading Alen's confession concerning their trip to Transylvania. By the way, I've been to CEU, met Annabel, who misses all of you, sends greetings to all of us and says that we are still the best course and the best group of all years since she's been working there. But, back to Alen the Bastard - she told me some details about Alen's and Cristian's challenges in Romania, and set me at ease about their fate - none of them became a monachos in an unknown rock-monastery lost somewhere at Balkan. Cristian was here in Budapest and even participated the fieldtrip with the new Mad-evil generation, but he was not able (neither Alen) to write a tiny message if they are OK. Anyway, the spies confirmed their confessed information. I hope none of you would mind that I have shown Annabel our livejournal. She was really amased and proud of us.
Here at CEU everything is so silent and calm. I hate to come there and see none of you. However, Joshka has moved to the 5th floor and his room was occupied by Gabi the wizzard, who renewed the idea concerning the spring-fieldtrip to Constantinople. Of course, the idea was not taken seriously by the other members of faculty and two different possibilities are going to be discussed instead: Croatia (since there are no Croats now among MA students - may be this is the reason that we were the best group :)) or Austria (no resistance from Marianne)
Our PhD-friends are going to arrive next week, so soon I will write some things about them. I am very curious how Natia is and where she can be. Maybe Robert will inform us sooner and give more details, who knows.
I still have to return to the excavations at Szécsény, finishing the last section. I hope the weather will let me do it within a week, but the curses of the summer may still pursue me. The site, however, produced amasing finds this summer. We've found beutiful glasses, stove tiles; hlf-houses, cellars and other building-remains.
Beside the excavation I have to teach again. I have at least twice as many students as I had last year. Anyway, it seems I'm gonna get on easier this time, probably because now I don't have to teach my Zsófi :) and maybe I have more time to prepare for my classes, since I have no CEU classes.
I try to send some more pictures, have fun and please write!
Maxim
